Senior Manager

Compensation: $140,000-160,000


Responsibilities

  • Develop business and market Shrewsberry services in Texas and other geographic areas.
  • Research and gather information on potential clients and projects.
  • Schedule meetings with new and existing clients to discover project information.
  • Develop and maintain strong business network.
  • Participate in client relationship management for assigned key clients.
  • Ensure that plans and actions are in place for continuous improvement in key client relationships.
  • Identify key local prospects and leads and participate in the pursuit.
  • Manage Shrewsberry personnel (as well as sub-contractors) to meet contract/project deliverables in a timely manner while remaining within budget.
  • Represent Shrewsberry in assigned locations, markets, and industry associations.
  • Assure that engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, and Shrewsberry objectives.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project including identifying and documenting scope of work and key deliverables and timelines, negotiating extras, cost control, staffing and quality control.
  • Provide technical solutions, judgment and mentor mid-level and junior staff.
  • Advise with overall direction of Dallas office, and transportation/traffic markets.
  • Participate in proposal presentation and business development activities.
  • Work with technical staff to develop proposals, scopes of work, and estimate fees. 
  • Determines staffing levels needed for projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining schedule, budget, and profitability of assigned projects.
  • Utilize CRM for tracking of all business development opportunities.
  • Utilize project management software (e.g., Ajera) for successful project management.
  • Experienced in technical delivery of complex roadway designs or Traffic Signals,
  • Illumination, ITS PS&E, on projects of significant size/complexity.

Project Manager of Transportation

Bellevue, WA

Compensation: $85,000-115,000


Responsibilities

  • Design budgets, schedules, plans and specifications, manage project communications and documentation.
  • Supervise, motivate, and develop staff including junior staff in project management practices.
  • Coordinate and review assigned projects, and those of the project team, for completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification, and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Provide engineering design and supervision for a variety of highway design projects including, but not limited to: roadway reconstruction and overlay, bridge approaches, storm sewers, sidewalks, ADA ramps, guardrail, pavement marking and signing, and asset management projects.
  • Oversee and perform engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross sections, construction and engineering documents, and maintenance of traffic details.
  • Perform advanced MicroStation/GEOPAK processes.
  • Perform internal quality control to ensure designs, plans and calculations are complete and accurate through all phases of design and plan production.
  • Assist Senior Project Managers in a variety of project administrative duties.
  • Participate in business development activities, assisting in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations.
  • Serve as technical expert on task/project on key transportation projects.
  • Deliver quality transportation projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client for projects assigned as Project Manager.

Site Civil Senior Project Manager

Indianapolis, IN

Compensation: $110,000-130,000


Responsibilities

  • Participate in client relations management for assigned key clients.
  • Work with technical staff to develop proposal sections, technical approaches, and scopes of work.
  • Meet with new/existing clients to discover project information.
  • Participate in proposal presentations, interviews, and business development activities.
  • Provide senior level quality control review for any plan designs, or specifications prepared by the site civil personnel of Shrewsberry.
  • Deliver quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Mentor, and assist staff in developing final design plans.
  • Coordinate work efforts and review work performed.
  • Foster a positive collaborative environment between divisions and offices; promote Shrewsberry culture.
  • Serve as senior project manager and/or project expert on specific tasks or projects.
  • Assist in the planning, designing, monitoring and/or managing of projects and programs for substantial new construction, renovation, and improvement projects.
  • Provide technical direction and development on the scope of work, detailed schedule input, man-hour requirements, and budgets for assigned project elements.
  • Mitigate project risk.
  • Assigns tasks/projects to staff and coordinates a team effort to support the project.
  • Manage Scope, identify and document changes in scope, and seek amendments for changes.
  • Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
  • Routinely manages several projects concurrently.
  • Develop reports, specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.
  • Lead/participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance.
  • Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective action.
